Surfing the net yesterday I cruised into the Glass House Graphics website. I remember the name well because I've already attended two workshops by Glass House, one was a couple of years back in the Limketkai Building in Greenhills, and the other was the recent Comic Creator's Workshop held in Megamall.
Anyway, as I was looking through the company's roster of talents I found that most of were Filipinos. Some were Bazilians but most are Filipinos that I've already met/seen during their workshops. All of them had their portfolio corners showing their impressive work. However this particular pencilled/inked work is by Ariel Padilla, a 40+ Quiapo native who's been in the international comics biz for a while now.
I've always liked Lara Croft. She is a very strong figure to construct; a brew of both quiet power, strength and femininity. And she kicks ass. So I got this Arial Padilla work into this PC and colored it. Notice that I just slabbed gray into where his gun should be? That's because I have no idea what her magnums looked like (I always draw her in provocative positions sans the guns), and I don't have time to research, and even if I did I feel too lazy to even leave this seat.
So there.
