The Friday night out was a blast!
I started my day by travelling almost three hours to South Super highway and headed to Magallanes next. Then I had to drop by Glorietta to pick up my ID but found instead Verns, saying that the IDs weren't readfy yet. Darnit.
So I won't waste time, I accompanied her to Las PiƱas (Pamplona, near Pol Medina Jr's house) where we did an interview with the head people of an animation school/production team. Verns kept on giving hints for them to look at the sketch I brought along, until they just asked me to hand it over. Afer scanning the pages one of them remarked, "Pwede ka na! Pwede ka nang mag-enroll sa Professional Animator Assistant!" And nothing could have swiped my smile of my face. Booyah!
After that I headed over to Megamall to meet up with Carol, Elad, Mimay, Brian and Dar so we all could watch the Bamboo album launch with Sugar Free and Hale.
Unfortunately since I got there late (by an hour or so), Sugar Free and Hale have already performed and have already left. Too bad for Brian who brought his CDs to have them signed. The street surrounding the mall was seriously crowded also because another event was taking place near the EDSA area, the SMB Play concert.
And then droplets of water began falling from the sky. I guess nobody wanted to get wet and squeeze into the crowd of smelly, black-garbed teenagers so we all decided to ditch the event altogether. We wento the MiniStop behind the Raffles building, where Mimay, Brian and I used to eat lunch when we were still working for that call center. But after a round of card game (which I didn't join) a sikyu spotted us and beckoned us to leave.
So we ended up in Baywalk. Had iced tea -lotsa ice- and chatted. We laughed our heads off and I loved every minute of seeing that my two groups of friends were meshing like the sunrise by the Manila Bay. We're definitely doing this again!
